School Note. Friday, 22nd January

Dear Parents, Guardians, colleagues and Pupils,

I hope you are all well on this lovely mild and sunny Friday.

Another week has passed so quickly and I am informed by the teachers that our pupils are making a very good effort to engage. I want to thank all our staff.... teachers, SNA;s, Alison and Margaret who have really shown commitment and dedication to their responsibilities. Thank you. In addition, if there are children who aren't engaging as much as you would like or who are indifferent about remote learning, leave them. They will be fine. I heard Ryan Tubridy say this morning that we can learn as much from looking out the window as reading a book..... I agree. I am very confident that we will reopen soon again and that we will take up from where we left off.

Finally, over the past number of days I have had the pleasure of meeting several present and past pupils who use the school grounds for exercise and relaxation. My God, they are a credit to you their parents, to our community and above all to themselves. I commend them and it makes me very proud that our pupils, past and present are such lovely teenagers growing up in what are very unique and challenging times.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and please be kind to yourselves and to each other.

Kind Regards, Joe Kennelly
