Rang a Dó had a wonderful day out at the Healthy Heroes Event in the University of Galway.
We learned all about the BUMBLEnce and the incredible service they provide in transporting sick children and their families comfortably and safely between their homes and hospitals, hospices, treatment centres, and respite centres.
The children were fascinated by the Optometry station where we learned about eye health and the different parts of the eye & how they work. Did you know that dogs can only see in blue and yellow?
Other highlights of the day included exercise, face painting & crafts, nutrition & dental care before we rounded up the day with a visit to the Teddy Bear Hospital.
It was a wonderful trip and great fun was had by all! :)
